Emma Rose Hensel, 3-years young, was diagnosed in December, 2015 with DIPG, an inoperable brain tumor with 0% chance of survival (6-9 months). That day, our lives would be changed forever. Family first, we all remained together, including 6-year old "sissy". We traveled to Memphis, TN to St. Jude's to seek comfort, family time, and quality of life. Emma knew only love while fighting a battle to remain here on Earth to make us the happiest, most fatigued, and grateful family. To know Emma's light, amongst all odds, is to know God. Emma went to Heaven on January 31, 2016. Emma's legacy will never be forgotten, for she is our greatest blessing during our worst hours. EMMA'S WISH, INC. was established to send EMMA'S WISH JARS to children fighting. The jars include items the child needs and wants. We plan to take EMMA'S WISH JARS to hospitals/clinics to be handed out while treatment is administered. A smile after a long day is sometimes the best medicine. Emma's story will continue to be told while we spread awareness. Another goal is to begin traveling around to speak at different hospitals. DIPG is the rarest form of childhood cancer. Less than 3% of all money donated each year goes toward childhood cancer and out of that total, a mere fraction goes to DIPG. We will stand strong for Emma and for childhood cancer. Emma has made connections with those she has never met, through her story she has made an impact on communities worldwide. All proceeds go back to EMMA'S WISH INC., and we hope to incorporate cash donations to families, both here and overseas, who cannot afford minimal care for their child.THE FIGHT GOES ON. OUR GOAL- Raise funds-children, support research, & raise awareness.
